# overlane bot map-user

Links the bot platform's ID for a person to a team member, so the project assistant answers that person with the member's role. The member must already be on the team. Linking again replaces the earlier link.

## Usage

```sh
overlane bot map-user bot-id --external-user ID --user USER_ID [--service URL] [--team TENANT_ID] [--dry-run]
```

## Arguments

## Flags

| `--dry-run` | boolean | no |  | Print the requests and file changes this command would make, then stop. Needs no credentials. |

- Effect: `write` (changes local or hosted state).
- Needs credentials: yes. Uses the network: yes.
