# overlane release promote

Moves the release from the internal channel to stable. The service refuses while the release is still soaking, when a compatibility row failed, when the release was rolled back on a project, and for a withdrawn release; the refusal names the reason. Needs a role that manages policy.

## Usage

```sh
overlane release promote digest [--service URL] [--team TENANT_ID] [--dry-run]
```

## Arguments

## Flags

| `--dry-run` | boolean | no |  | Print the requests and file changes this command would make, then stop. Needs no credentials. |

## Behavior

- Effect: `write` (changes local or hosted state).
- Needs credentials: yes. Uses the network: yes.
- Supports `--dry-run`: yes. Accepts `--force`: no.
- Machine-readable description: `overlane schema release promote`.

## Result
