Without a commit, shows a repository’s record; the remote URL carries no credential, so use overlane repo token for a scoped token and hand it to a git credential helper. With a commit (a SHA or a branch), shows its message and the full diff against its first parent: unified text by default, –stat for counts only, –json for the structured diff.
