A saved view is a filter, a grouping and a sort over any issue field. The page and the service mean the same thing by it, so a view you save in the app is the one the API runs. The fields and the order are described in Issues, projects and views.
Filter from the keyboard
Press f or / on the Issues view to focus the filter box. Type words to match titles, and field:value to match a field:
status:todo,in_progress -priority:P3 label:Backend no:assignee estimate:>=3 retry| Part | Meaning |
|---|---|
status:todo,in_progress |
The status is one of these. A comma means “or”. |
-priority:P3 |
A leading - means “not”. |
label:Backend |
A label or project name is looked up for you. |
assignee:me |
me means you. |
no:assignee |
The field is empty. |
estimate:>=3 |
Compare with >, >=, < or <=. |
retry |
Any word that is not field:value must appear in the title. |
Short names work: s for status, p for priority, a for assignee and l for label. A token that looks like a field but is not understood is shown as unknown rather than ignored silently.
Group and save
Press b to group by the next field. You can group by status, priority, assignee type, assignee, label, project, cycle or source. Press s to save the current filter and grouping as a named view; saved views are listed with the view picker and can be deleted by members and above.
From the palette
Every one of these is also a palette command (Ctrl+K, then type “filter” or “group”), so a view can be driven without remembering a key. See Keyboard shortcuts and the command palette.
